Cover on the beach can be very nice as it is often windy with sand blowing around and so a beach tent can offer great cover for those that want it.
Beach tents are cheap and basic and so not designed for sleeping in, they are also quite small and so can usually accommodate a couple of people (more if they are kids). They are often great for children or elderly people who need some shelter from the sun and they are also great to just have for anyone that needs a break from the sun and wind.
They are also great for storing things while on the beach such as chill boxes and valuables as they will keep the sun and wind away. If you are leaving valuables in a beach tent be sure to always have someone with it though as anyone could go in if you are not careful.
